Skins defeat Seahawks - Improve to 7-4

Though he practiced just once last week because of knee problems, Clinton Portis (pictured) matched his season high with 29 carries and ran up 143 yards as the Redskins beat the Seahawks 20-17. As a point of reference, Sunday's performance exceeds Portis's totals from the past two games combined, in which he carried only 28 times for 119 yards. The Skins lost both games to Pittsburgh and Dallas. In the Redskins' seven wins, Portis averages 24.6 carries for 124.9 yards. When he rushes for 100 yards this season, the Redskins are 5-1. When he does not, they're 2-3.

QB Jason Campbell completed 20 of 33 passes for 206 yards and a TD toss to Antwaan Randle-El. Campbell also rushed 6 times for 32 yards. TE Chris Cooley had 5 catches for 54 yards, Santana Moss and Mike Sellers each caught 4 passes for 72 and 30 yards respectively. The TD catch was one of only 2 receptions for Randle-El.

The Redskins, still very much alive for a wild-card playoff berth, host the Giants next Sunday at 1pm.
